    Topic Question Answer
Logging In Why do I have to log in and how do I do it You don't really have to but it allows you to post and signup for rides. If you don't log in and join, we can't keep track of you.
Settings What are my customized settings all about and how do I change them. You can control the following aspects of this site:
    • What colors to use for the decorations and background
    • How much text and graphics you want to see (good to not show graphics if you are on a slow dial up modem for example)
    • What state you live in so we can filter and only show you rides, venues, and discussions that are near you. You can easily switch to another state for a short while to see what's going on.
Firewall and Connection Problems I am behind  a firewall and the Java applets don't work.  What do I do? If you are viewing Radless from your office and they have a firewall, it may prevent some features that depend on Java from running. A good example is the drop-down menu system at the top of the page. If you can see this, you should change your default Graphics Mode to either "text" or "graphics with no Java."
Ride Sign Ups How do I sign up for a ride?  How do I cancel my signup if I can't make it. To sign up for a ride, go to the ride calendar and when you see the ride you want to sign up for, click on the small icon of a man.
Ride Scheduling, Re-scheduling and Cancellation Who can post or schedule a ride and how do you do it? Anyone can schedule a ride. This includes other clubs. We encourage this.  You can post personal rides or group rides.  Just go to the ride scheduling section.  You fill out a short form in which you specify where the ride will be held, what date, what time, estimated ride time, and a few miscellaneous other things. It's really easy.  You can also reschedule the ride if the weather doesn't look good or cancel the entire ride by deleting it.
Posting Images on the Site How do I post my profile picture? First you must have been logged on to the system as a member. Next go to the bottom of any screen and click on the lower, left-hand corner photo. If you already have picture posted, you will set it. If you don't there will be funny little picture. Anyway, click on the photo and the next screen will prompt you to browse to the file on your system. Once you find your good picture, click the Upload button and in a few moments (or longer on dial up connections) your image will appear and be permanently stored on our site. That is, until you take it off or quit Radless.
To Get or Not to Get Email I don't want to receive email notices from Radless. How do I get myself off the list? If you are member, go to the main menu at the top of the screen and select "Membership" option, followed by Member Profile. At the top of your member profile, click on the "Edit" link.  Once in your member profile edit form, look for the field that says, "Keep My Email Hidden" and select the option, "No, Hide it."
Find information on this site. How do I find information on the site? Use the search box at the top of the screen. Type in one or more words that will help you find the information.  It works just like Yahoo.  The search engine will return any matches from the membership, rides, articles, venues, or discussion databases.
Discussion Groups Who can participate in discussions and how do I get involved? Any one can post to our boards. Keep it courteous and you can say anything you want.
